Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney was born Amal R. Alamuddin. She was a Lebanese British lawyer and human rights advocate. Following her graduation from the Oxford University School of Law she pursued an extensive and successful professional career within human rights and international law. Her notable clients include the nation of Armenia which is fighting the Turkish government over the acceptance and apology for Armenia's Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney became engaged in 2014, and then got married to American actor George Clooney. She instantly became an household name. Prior to this she was respected and well-known in legal circles because of her success and skill at representing clients. The range of her work spans from dealing with human rights and justice issues to representing several multinational companies in discussions and court proceedings in relation to government regulation. From 2015 onwards, Doughty Street Chambers is situated in London, and she is barrister.
